Kochi
Born from a morning memory.
The idea for Mysore Raman Idli started with a plate of idlis in a small home in Mysore. Steamed to perfection, draped in golden ghee, dusted with aromatic podi, it was a breakfast that stopped time.
Our founder spent years trying to recreate that morning in Kochi. He found it was impossible, not because the recipe was secret, but because the care was. The unhurried fermentation. The stone-ground batter. The fresh steam.
So he did it right. He learnt from the homes of Mysore. He brought the ingredients, the process, the patience, and the people who understood what a real idli meant.
In November 2022, Mysore Raman Idli opened its doors in Palarivattom, Kochi. Within weeks, the queues told him everything. Kochi was hungry for this. For authenticity. For that morning memory.
We are still that small kitchen with big intentions. Just with more tables now.
Our values.
Authenticity
Recipes sourced from Mysore homes. Nothing adapted for convenience, everything faithful to the original.
Patience
Natural fermentation cannot be rushed. We batter up at night, let it rise slowly, and steam fresh every morning.
Quality
Premium raw rice, freshly split urad dal, aged ghee, freshly ground podi spices, quality at every step.
Hospitality
In South Indian culture, serving food is an act of care. We carry that spirit into every plate we put on your table.
Milestones.
